Terms of use.

1 · Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using DataRig Lite, or by using exadatarig.com, you agree to these terms. If you use DataRig on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the software or the site.

2 · License to use DataRig Lite

ExaScale grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use DataRig Lite on machines you control, for personal or commercial purposes. You may not:

• sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute DataRig Lite or offer it as a hosted service;
• reverse engineer the DataRig application, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• remove or alter proprietary notices, or use DataRig to break the law or infringe others’ rights.

Open-source components bundled with DataRig are licensed under their own terms, listed on Licensing & open source. Nothing here limits your rights under those licenses.

3 · Your data and your work

You own your data and everything you build with DataRig, including pipelines, SQL, dbt models, dashboards, and tables. In its default local configuration DataRig does not send your content to ExaScale, as described in the privacy promise. You are responsible for having the right to process the data you load, and for reviewing the plans you approve.

4 · Third-party AI providers

If you choose to connect a hosted model provider, your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not by these terms or by our zero-retention promise.

5 · Beta features and updates

Some features are labeled beta or roadmap. They may change or be withdrawn, and roadmap items are not commitments. We may release updates; installing them is your choice.

6 · No warranty

DataRig Lite is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated plans can be wrong; the review gate exists so you can check them before anything runs.

7 · Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExaScale will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of DataRig Lite or this site. Because DataRig Lite is free, ExaScale’s total liability for any claim is limited to US$100.

8 · Termination

You may stop using DataRig at any time. Your license ends automatically if you breach these terms. Sections 3, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9 · Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes. Paid Cloud and Enterprise editions will be covered by separate agreements. Questions: sales@exadatarig.com.
